Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
The
commonMarkSpellingask emitted the whole subtree below every directive block, so a node at depth d was spelled d times. A memo the parse owns keeps each node's readable spelling, rebasing the kept headroom by the depth difference. Behaviour is unchanged; the two depth-boundary tests pin the rebase.
